Gua Sha
Traditional Chinese face and body massage, which has been known since ancient times.
Gua Sha can be translated as "to scrape away all the bad".
Gua - scraping, picking, removing;
Sha - disease, something bad.
The massage is performed with a special "scraper" that engages not only the upper layers of the skin, but also the muscles. This ancient Chinese healing technique offers a unique approach to better health and addresses issues such as chronic pain.
In Gua Sha massage, the massage therapist scratches the skin with short or long strokes to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissues, which increases blood flow. He makes these strokes using a smooth-edged tool, the Gua Sha stone. The masseur applies massage oil to the skin and then scratches the skin repeatedly with the tool in a downward motion.

Course of massage
Before the massage, the masseur will be interested in your problem areas and whether you have any health problems.
Once you are ready, you will be asked to lie on your back or stomach under a sheet. How much you undress depends on your comfort level, but the area to be massaged must be exposed.
The masseur will warm up your muscles with lighter touches. Once your muscles are warmed up, he will start working on your problem areas.
